7 Product Page Mistakes That Are Costing You Sales in Saudi Arabia
7 product page mistakes that silently kill your conversion rate. Fix these and watch your sales improve.
E-commerce
Overview

Your product page is the closest thing to a salesperson your online store has. If it is not converting, you are burning ad spend. Here are the seven most common mistakes we see on Saudi e-commerce product pages.
Mistake 1: Missing or weak product descriptions
'Product as shown in the picture' is not a description. Saudi customers want to know materials, dimensions, colors, weight, and care instructions. The more detail you provide, the fewer questions your customer service team answers. Good descriptions also help your page rank for specific search queries.
Mistake 2: Low-quality images
A single blurry photo is enough to lose a sale. You need multiple angles, zoom capability, and lifestyle shots showing the product in use. If you cannot provide your own photos, use the supplier's best images and add size reference.
Mistake 3: No mobile optimization
Over 80% of e-commerce traffic in Saudi Arabia comes from mobile. If your product images take too long to load on 5G, or the Add to Cart button requires two taps, customers leave. Test every product page on an actual phone before publishing.
We tested 50 Saudi e-commerce stores last quarter. 34 had Add to Cart buttons that were too small for a thumb tap. That is not a design issue. It is a revenue issue.
Mistake 4: No social proof
Saudi customers rely heavily on reviews-on-google" class="text-secondary underline hover:no-underline font-medium">reviews and ratings. A product page without reviews feels risky. Even three honest reviews increase conversion. If you are new, incentivize the first few reviews and display them prominently.
Mistake 5: Complicated checkout
Every additional field in your checkout form reduces conversion. Asking for unnecessary information, forcing account creation, or offering too few payment options all kill sales. Mada, Apple Pay, and Tabby or Tamara are minimum requirements for the Saudi market.
Mistake 6: Missing trust signals
Return policy, warranty information, and customer support contact should be visible on every product page. Saudi shoppers want to know they can return an item if it does not fit. If you hide your return policy, they assume it is bad.
Mistake 7: No urgency or scarcity
'In Stock' is good. 'Only 3 left' is better. Saudi e-commerce customers respond to stock indicators and limited-time offers. Be honest about it. Fake scarcity gets caught and destroys trust.
